Thursday Clinic Visit - Maintenance Round 21

Today's clinic visit consisted of the following:
1) Port access
2) a blood draw
3) Vincristine (Chemo)

Kaitlyn had a pretty quick clinic visit today. During our visits, there is a lot of wait time. We wait for her port to be accessed and then we wait for the lab work to come back to make sure her counts are high enough to start the next cycle. While we wait, Childlife, Sherry's House & Hole in the Wall Gang staff do a great job at keeping Kaitlyn entertained while we are there. This is Kaitlyn with Karen from Hole in the Wall Gang. Karen always comes in with the best art projects...Katie loves it and it really goes a long way in keeping her entertained while we wait.

Dr. Keuker came to check on Katie and before we knew it, we were on our way. Short & sweet, just the way we like it!!!

This cycle will consist of the following:
Vincristine - Day 1 (same dose as previous cycles)
Methotrexate (oral at home chemo) - Days 1, 8 & 15 (same dose as the last cycle)
6-mercapturine (oral at home chemo) - Days 1-14 (same dose as the last cycle)
Dexamethasone (oral at home steroid)- Days 1-5 (same dose as the last cycle)

Next planned clinic visit will be in three weeks, June 17th.
