Treatment may have ended for Katie, but the battle is far from over.

Please say a prayer for all the children who continue to fight childhood cancer day after day.
Pray for their strength, resilience and healing.

Memorial Day!

This morning, we got up and went to the Memorial Day parade in Shrewsbury. We don't usually get up in time to get to the parade, but Katie was excited to go, so we made a point to do it this year even though it was kind of rainy this morning.

My friends, Mary & Shelly were walking in the parade with their girls and their girl scout troop. This was their last year in the parade with their girl scouts, so I made a point to take some pictures for them.

I absolutely LOVE this picture of Katie at the parade, she looks like she is so deep in rememberance.

After the parade, we went over to Steve & Kerrie's for some swimming and a cookout. Here are the girls having some fun in the pool together.

After the pool, they had some fun on the slip & slide.  This lasted just long enough for a mud puddle to form at the end of the slide.  Once the kids decided that it was more fun to play in the mud than on the slip & slide, we decided it was time to turn off the water and direct them elsewhere.

To our men and women in uniform...past, present and future...God Bless You and Thank You for the freedom that we enjoy.
