Treatment may have ended for Katie, but the battle is far from over.

Please say a prayer for all the children who continue to fight childhood cancer day after day.

Girl's Softball Awards

Tonight was the last night of softball for the season. Before the awards were given out, they had another pitch, hit and run competition. It was nice to see that most of the girl's skills had improved since the beginning of the season.

Katie got the first place ribbon for the fastest thrower in her age group!!! She also received a ribbon for participation. She was SO THRILLED with her ribbons. Look at the look on her face, she was so proud of herself! And well, I was very proud of her too. It is amazing to me to think about everything that she has been through and then to see her moving on with her life... so healthy, so happy. YOU GO GIRL!!!

Each of the girls also got a trophy.  Katie LOVES her trophy. She got it home and took out her white dress-up gloves and spent the night polishing her trophy.  She learned this by watching the Bruins games and seeing them polish the Stanly Cup...lol. It was very, VERY cute.

Katie loved her first season of softball and she is looking forward to playing again.  We'll see how she feels next spring...if she plays, I will probably coach again too :-)
