First you need a TRAP!!!!
Here is Katie making a leprechaun trap, just in time for March to start!!! After the paint dries, she wants to add a bunch of decorations to it to entice the leprechauns :-)
Step #1 - In order to catch a leprechaun, you will need to build a trap. Start out by finding a small box and cutting a flap that looks like a door.
Step #2 - Place your box near the end of a rainbow. This is usually where leprechauns hide their pots of gold.
Step #3 - Paint or color your leprechaun trap green and add green glitter or sequins to make it sparkle.
Step #4 - Leprechauns are also attracted to four-leaf clovers. Pick a couple and set them near your trap.
Step #5 - Leprechauns love Lucky Charms cereal, so pour a small amount of the cereal inside your trap.
Step #6 - Disguise your trap by blending it into its surroundings.
Step #7 - Now you will need to wait patiently and quietly, camouflaging yourself to blend into your surroundings, as well.
Step #8 - If he gets suspicious, he may not take the bait. In that case, you should watch for a trail of gold or green glitter, and it will lead you straight to your leprechaun.
Step #9 - Quietly sneak up to your trap and snatch the little guy before he catches on. Do not let your eyes wander because, if you look away for a second, he may vanish.
Step #10 - If you are lucky enough to catch a leprechaun, he will offer you great wealth in exchange for his freedom.
It's not easy, and you are not guaranteed to catch a leprechaun on St. Patrick's Day, even if you do follow each of these steps perfectly. However, I can guarantee that you will have fun trying. And if you are one of the lucky mortals to catch a leprechaun, you are sure to become rich quick.
Good luck!!!
