Treatment may have ended for Katie, but the battle is far from over.

Please say a prayer for all the children who continue to fight childhood cancer day after day.

The Visiting Nurse

We had our first visit from the Visiting Nurse today and Kaitlyn did a great job. She wanted to help the nurse flush out her "tubies". I though for sure she would put up a fight, the nurse being another stranger touching her, but she really was intersted in what she was doing and she wanted to help her out. She seems to be a bit conscientious about her "tubies". She doesn't want anyone looking at it and she certainly has no tolerance for people touching it. But, hopefully with time, she will adjust to it (hopefully we all will). To start, the nurse will be visiting us every Monday to change the dressing aroung the line and make sure everything looks good. Tomorrow, it will be our resposibilty to flush her line for the first time by ourselves. I have done it a few times already so it should be fine.

Keep praying for Katie as she continues to put up an excellent fight.

Amy,
Wow has life changed after your diagnosis. One thing is for sure, you must realize how supportive and loving your friends are!! We care and truly want to help with anything you could use to make life a bit more happy for Katie as she goes through such trying times.
Hugs,
