Treatment may have ended for Katie, but the battle is far from over.

Please say a prayer for all the children who continue to fight childhood cancer day after day.
Pray for their strength, resilience and healing.

Thirsday Clinic Visit - Maintenance Round 24

Today's clinic visit consisted of the following:
1) Port access
2) a blood draw
3) Vincristine (Chemo)

Not much to report from today's visit other than the fact that the pharmacy was extremely slow with Katie's chemo today. We spent most of our time waiting & socializing with staff while Katie played with Karen from Hole in the Wall gang. I did bring in some journaling cards and started asking for each of them to write Katie a little note of strength, love, hope...whatever was in their hearts as she nears the end of treatment. We got 4 lovely notes back :-) I still need to get a lot more, but it's a start!

This cycle will consist of the following:
Vincristine - Day 1 (same dose as previous cycles)
Methotrexate (oral at home chemo) - Days 1, 8 & 15 (same dose as the last cycle)
6-mercapturine (oral at home chemo) - Days 1-14 (same dose as the last cycle)
Dexamethasone (oral at home steroid)- Days 1-5 (same dose as the last cycle)

Next planned clinic visit will be in three weeks, August 19th.

ONLY 3 MORE CHEMO VISITS LEFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
