Bald Eagle in our Backyard!!!

This was the second time we have seen the bald eagle soaring around the lake behind our house.  It is truly an awesome sight to see this bird flying around in the wild. I have only ever seen a Bald Eagle at the zoo.

Katie couldn't quite understand why Mike & I were so in awe of this bird. We tried to explain to her that the bald eagle is our national bird and that it is almost extinct, so to see it flying around in our backyard is totally exceptional. She still wasn't that impressed...lol.
