Well, I didn't until Kaitlyn enlightened me...When we got home from the New England Aquarium the other day, she kept telling everyone that we saw Macaroni Penguins. Mike & I kept looking at each other and wondering what the heck she was talking about. Was she trying to say something that she couldn't pronounce? Was she making it up? Did she overhear someone call the penguins that? We didn't know, so we Googled "Macaroni Penguins" and sure enough she was 100% correct...there were only a few types of penguins at the aquarium, and one of the types is called Macaroni Penguins. We were totally floored that she knew what they were called. She certainly didn't learn it from us because neither of us knew what type they were. So how did she know?
Well, we are not 100% sure, but we have a hunch. Mike checked out the "Go, Diego, Go" episodes on the "on demand" feature on our cable box. He found an episode where Diego saves some Macaroni Penguins. But, that is our only lead at this point :-) I am completely amazed that she is starting to "learn" about new things and retain the information.
So, in case you were wondering what a Macaroni Penguin looks like...

Daniela is always pulling out weird things she learned on TV- they got a Diego Train with some figures for christmas and while they were setting it up Daniela said to Mike "Can you pass me the Maned Wolf?" The what?
