Treatment may have ended for Katie, but the battle is far from over.

Please say a prayer for all the children who continue to fight childhood cancer day after day.

Mt. Pisgah Hike

Today, Katie & I spent the morning in the woods with Auntie Kerrie, Sophie, Charlie and friends Caryn, Honor, Mikey & Thorin. We went for a beautiful kiddie hike on Mt. Pisgah in Northboro, MA.

Charlie, Sophie & Katie getting ready to go on our hike!

Honor & Mikey - What a GREAT pic of you two!!!

Thorin had the best seat in the woods!!!

Katie, ever so serious, had to have her own map so that she could lead the way!

Charlie Baby!!! Gotta love that smile!!!

Sophie was so cute. She pulled a leaf off one of the bushes and then she wanted to put it back and she tried to find the exact branch that she pulled it off of...lol.

About 15 minutes into the hike, Katie decided it was time for a snack. She sat down on the rock, took her backpack off and pulled out a snack. There was no other choice, but to stop and have a snack!

For the most part, all the kids did a great job. About 1/2 way through the hike, Katie decided she was tired and wouldn't go any further unless I carried her. She just needed a little break and then she got her second wind. She finished the hike like a professional backpacker! Same with Sophie, she had a little meltdown a short while after Katie & I carried her on my shoulders for a bit because Kerrie's shoulders were already occupied with Charlie! Sophie had a nice little break and then she was back on the path too. We lucked out with the weather too...with all the rain we have been having lately, it certainly was a nice day for a hike!!!
