Treatment may have ended for Katie, but the battle is far from over.

Please say a prayer for all the children who continue to fight childhood cancer day after day.
Pray for their strength, resilience and healing.

WHOA - WHAT A TRIP!

2 weeks in Disney was a MASSIVE undertaking!! But, man what a trip!!!

Here is Katie on our first day, making her way to breakfast in Cinderella's Castle with the Princesses!!!

There is WAY too much to blog about, so here are our top 10 Disney moments...

10) Meeting EVERY character possible....here are just a few of the fav's!

9) Breakfast in Cinderella's Castle!

8) Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique - Katie loved being pampered like a Princess!!

7) Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween Party.

6) The little girl at the "Boo To You" Parade that asked Katie for her autograph :-)

5) Seeing some of the Princesses & Fairy Godmother recognize Katie as they passed by on a parade float.

4) Stitch getting Katie a free ice cream in Tomorrowland. Stitch was one of the first characters that Katie actually wanted to meet. When he saw the Make a Wish buttons, he instructed us to follow him. We had NO IDEA why, but we followed him ½ way across Tomorrowland along with a ton of other people. But, then he started banging on an ice cream cart where he made them give Katie whatever she wanted!!! He had a swarm of people (kids included of course) following him, but Katie was the only one who got a special treat. This was definitely a special moment for us.

3) Give Kids the World - I cannot say enough about Give Kids the World. They COMPLETELY spoiled us. All the food on property was free, there was free ice cream from 7:30am - 11pm, free entertainment, free arcade games, free mini golf, free train rides, free carousel, and if that wasn't enough, they left gifts in the room every night for Katie. Just unbelievable.

2) Seeing Katie's star hanging in the Castle of Miracles at Give Kids the World. Upon arriving at the Village each of the Wish Children receives a golden star along with an invitation from the Star Fairy to bring the star to our Enchanted Castle of Miracles. Once there the children sit at a mushroom table that appears to have grown right through the Castle floor. They write their name on the star, close their eyes, make one very special wish, and then place the star in the Star Fairy’s wooden chest. With animation, twinkling lights, and pure magic the star disappears from the chest with a promise that the Star Fairy will gather up all of the stars each day, capturing all of the treasured memories the children have made, and place them in the Castle sky that night. There are over 90,000 stars hanging in the Castle of Miracles and now Katie's has a permanent home alongside them.

1) Katie taking her last chemo pills. There are no words to describe how it felt to give Katie her last chemo meds. It still doesn't seem real to me.

Another note to mention that made our trip amazing was the special treatment for Make a Wish recipients. We received front of the line access for rides and character greetings which was totally awesome... This trip has spoiled us forever!!!
