This week, Katie was happy to report that she is the "Student of the Week". Each week, they pick a name out of the "fair can" and that person gets to be the student of the week. Last Friday, Katie's name was picked and she was over the moon about it. She could not stop talking about the fact that she was going to be the student of the week next week. This special privilege allowed her to be "line leader" and bring in a special "show & tell" items to share with her class every day.
Here is the poster that was up in her classroom for the week -
She actually only got 4 days as student of the week because they had Friday off. But, for show & tell, she brought in...
1) Bunny and told the class how important he is to her.
2) Her watch.
3) Stitch and told the class the story about Stitch getting her an ice cream in Disney.
4) A book - Fancy Nancy - the Poison Ivy Expert and Mrs. Daly read it to the class.
She wanted to bring in her port to show the class, but I kept asking her if she really wanted to talk about what the port was used for in front of her whole class. And she decided that she did not want to talk about that so she didn't end up bringing her port into the class.
We are so proud of our little student of the week!!!
