It was weird having to go out today and bring Kaitlyn to a clinic visit. While the rest of the world was busy shopping all the sales for the best deals, we were bringing Katie for chemo. It was, however, a pretty quick visit. She got a shot of Methotrexate and they assured us again that her exhaustion is a side effect of the treatment and not something worse like signs of a relapse. The nurse practitioner also told us that we could expect more aches and pains as a side effect of the drug combinations in this phase. This is the last rough phase. Once this one ends, she will hit maintenance and life will be a lot easier for all of us and her hair will start to grow back. We can expect that in June. Seems too far off to even think about right now. Anyway, Katie got to see her "boyfriend" briefly and then we were on our way home :-) Our next clinic visit is scheduled for next Thursday.
