Today's clinic visit marks the end of the first cycle of Phase IV for Kaitlyn's treatment. She received a shot of Methotrexate and that took 2 hours...sigh...I can't understand what takes so long, but I guess it's not up to me to understand, I just have to be patient and wait. While we waited, Kaitlyn played with her play-doh and made a pretend potty for bunny out of the paper masks...lol.
She is scheduled to start the next cycle of Phase IV next Thursday as long as her blood counts look good. Until then, she is off the oral chemo and steroids...YEAH! She is starting to gain back some of her energy...I hope the steroids don't knock her out again like they did the last time...we'll see. We will enjoy the break over the next week.
