Happy Easter

Our Easter started out at home. I set my alarm for 6am because I am so vain that I don't like to appear in holiday pictures or video with "bed head". Of course, Kaitlyn had woken up half way through the night and was sleeping in our bed when my alarm went off. So, the thought of "pulling myself together" before the pictures & video started was out the window when Kaitlyn crawled out of bed right behind me :-) But, I was able to hold her back long enough for Mike to run out into the living room, turn on all the lights and get the video camera rolling (while I at least got my hair brushed ). Then, I couldn't hold Kaitlyn back any longer as she wanted to see what the Easter bunny had brought her.

Our egg hunt at home always ends with a few new toys. She got a Dora bat & ball, a Dora mitt & ball, a kite, some bubbles and some Peeps!!! And this year she also got potting soil with seeds & gardening tools :-) Someones gotta learn how to do it...I can't keep a plant alive to save my life!!!

After our hunt at home was over, it was on to a chocolate breakfast...for Katie! A few hours later, she was literally running around in circles in the living room...it was hilarious to watch as the sugar high was in full swing!!!

Then around noon, we made our way over to Steve & Kerrie's for brunch. Of course, we were blessed with wonderful food & company, but the girls were blessed with another egg hunt and more SUGA!!!!!

BIG HUGS for Meme & Papa
A wonderful brunch!!!

Playtime with Uncle Stevie!!!

Charlie Baby!!!

The Dad's hiding eggs for the hunt!!!

Katie & Sophie waiting patiently for the egg hunt to begin!!!

Katie spots an egg!!!
Sophie grabs one of her own!!!

After enjoying our time with Mike's family, we made our way over to my dad's for dinner at 5pm. He cooks a mean ham...YUMMY!!! And of course, Katie got MORE candy :-)

Amy & Kay can't play nice long enough for a picture.

Katie & her Pop.

I don't know if you can see what Kaitlyn is pressing in the above picture, but it is a doorbell. Obviously, it was not hanging outside by the door where it should be, but she had fun pressing it and pretending that someone was at the door. After Auntie Kay arrived, this became a very elaborate story, including two leprechauns named Bram & Jess. I have NO IDEA how Katie came up with these names or even how leprechauns got invited to Easter, but they were the ones that kept ringing the doorbell and then running to hide...lol. It was quite amusing watching Kaitlyn develop this story as if it were actually happening outside the window. She has quite the imagination, that girl!!!

By the end of the day, I think we had all had a little too much chocolate!!!
