Addition Day 6 - Forms Arrive!

This afternoon, the truck arrived to deliver the forms for the foundation. But, there is SO MUCH dirt around the hole that the truck couldn't get in close enough for the crane to clear the power lines.

The excavator had to come back and move some of the dirt out of the way in order for the big truck (pardon my ignorance with construction jargon) to get into the driveway and still have enough room to lift up the crane. He even took some branches down with the shovel of the excavator. This was quite the operation.

After an hour of moving dirt, the big truck finally got in far enough and was able to drop off the forms.

It took so long just to deliver the forms that they called it a day after dropping the forms in the hole.

The skunk made Day 6 pretty interesting, but not much work got done today, unfortunately :-(
